IT Day
by Tyler on May.06, 2009, under My Life
Wewt. Going to IT Day today. Get to skip school. It’ll be awesome. I’ll blog about when I get back.
Back. IT Day was actually kind of boring. Although I did get out of going to school. Here is how my day went.
Woke up. Got ready fed my horses and what not. I’m waiting for Britton to come pick me up because I didn’t have a ride and Eric decides he is going to drop by and hang with me until Britton got here. Britton finally gets to my house we go to pick up Lucas. Head to the Convention Center and met up with Will and Colton. (Should know who all these people are if you watch my youtube videos. Maybe you should go watch them if you haven’t?)
I register and stuff so I can go about the convention center and get my free stuff. They amount of random crap they gave us was immense. We got bags full of free stuff for coming there. All in all I got a “eco-friendly” journal, a note pad 2 high quality pens, a pin, a stress reliever ball, a hat, a frisbee and a pocket knife. The Sprint booth was handing out pocket knives and matches. To teenage kids? Doesn’t make much sense. I wasn’t gonna complain though. I got a free pocket knife lol. Oh I also go to cup/bottle things. I don’t know what they fuck they are called. We also got a prize for going around and having all the booths sign a map we were handed. Our choices for prizes were a flashlight or a 1GB thumb-drive. Like a normal person I took the more valuable prize, the thumb-drive. All of that took about two hours or so. So it’s around 10 o’clock and we got there a little bit after 8. This thing ended at 5 by the way. We realized we were going to be bored out of our minds.
We wandered aimlessly for a few minutes afterwards trying to find something to do so we step outside and there is a hot dog guy giving free food to people who registered. “Hell yes! Free food!” Our day besides the boredom was getting better and better. Bag full of free shit, free food, and skipping school.
Random interjection – Some bug just landed on my monitor and I flicked it and it got smashed all over. Ew. Bug guts are on my screen. =P
Anyway, we were happy and after we finished eating Britton decided he wanted to go yell at Geek Squad for being frauds. Too bad, like I thought they weren’t. I was pretty sure about this before, but Will and Britton seemed to recall seeing them. So now we are really bored and we get an ingenious idea. Why don’t we just leave and go to the mall or something? (My idea) We run and jaywalk and make our way over to the mall causing small misdemeanours here and there. We finally get to the mall and realize there isn’t much to do here either. It is a Wednesday morning after all. There was just scattered old people here and there.
Oh, before we got to the mall we decided to go to Toys”R”Us first and we begin to walk in and when Lucas walks through the entrance the metal detector things go off. The great thing is everyone just looked at us and continued on working. So we head in and just like everywhere else it was boring. So we head out and the metal detectors go off again. Slightly confused on what causing it we kind of just stand there and look around and no one was coming so we started to walk off when someone finally decided to come and check us out. So the lady asks to see in our bags and we just open them and she doesn’t even look under all the junk we have in them. She just went “Okay.” and left. If we were bad bad children we could have easily stolen something. I’ll get back to what was causing the alarm later.
So now we are in the food court and Lucas is going through his bag later trying to figure out what was making the alarm go off. We all decided to test out the Gamestop alarms and I carried Lucas’s phone and Britton carried his iTouch and Lucas just walked through the bag. The alarm didn’t go off so we were slightly confused.
Carrying on in Gamestop we looked around and I noticed the cashier talking to 2 of the people looking around too. I nudge Colton and point at the cashier and I was like “Does she look like someone who would play games to you?” Colton then responded with “Wait, who? The girl or the…I can’t tell if that is a guy or a girl.” Then we all realized that the person working the register, who I assumed was a girl from the voice, could have either been a guy with a really high voice or a girl who looked like a guy. Short hair and everything. So we kind of sat in the back corner laughing from our confusing for 2 minutes.
After that we went to Barnes and Nobel to get the Zombie Survival Guide book considering we are all big zombie fans and it is an awesome book. So we head in there and guess what? The alarm goes off on Lucas again when we walk through. So this nice lady that is sitting there tells him to set down his bag and walk through with out it (Britton is holding his iTouch and phone) and the alarm still goes off. Following we all left our asses off at Lucas as he stood there confused. The lady then asks him if he bought any of his clothes from Old Navy and he replies with “Uh, yeah. I think these pants are from there.” So the great part is there was some tag in his pants that needed to be deactivated and he had to spin around in front of a black deactivation mat to make it stop. It was great, the lady even asked him to “twirl” when he had to spin. That pretty much made my day.
Eventually we got bored again and I suggested we go watch a movie. We head to the theater in the mall and it doesn’t open until 1:00 so we figured that idea was shot, also considering all the movies on there were extremely lame. Considering we didn’t have anything else to do though we walked over to the other movie theater that about 10 blocks away.
After debate for a while we decide to watch “The Ghost Of Girlfriends Past” because Will had already seen Wolverine and Colton was going to watch it with his Dad this weekend. So, I didn’t get to see it *tear*
I actually suggest “The Ghost Of Girlfriends Past” because it was a pretty good comedy actually. I quite enjoyed it. Also the theater we were in was nearly empty besides 2 other people not from our group. So that was cool. Day got better.
Now that the movie is over we decide to head back to the convention center so we can watch some thing on Microsoft for some reason. I don’t know why they wanted to do that. Sounded boring to me. We make our way back over there jay-walking less then we did on our way over there and head inside. We find the place where they are talking about Windows 7 and the room is just chalk full of people and everyone decided they would rather just hang out somewhere else then go in there, but for some reason Will decided to stay and when the doors were shutting he just had this “Oh god, save me” look on his face. Priceless.
While waiting for Will we just hung around and talked about zombies some and about how it would be epic if Sprint and Verizon started having a gang war all of a sudden. Just being stupid as usual. We start getting bored and we decide just to head home right as Will comes out.
When I get home I go to get my key out of my pocket to unlock the door and I realize I lost my key in the theater when I was sitting with my feet propped up on some bars. Not only that though, it was raining outside. I go around to the other side of the house to see if a window is unlocked so I can crawl in, but sadly none were. Now I, slightly pissed, decide I’ll just go feed my horses and go to my neighbors afterwards since I don’t want to stand outside in the rain for multiple hours. While walking down to my neighbors I call and tell her what’s up before hand it turned out my Grandma gave her a spare key before I left. Would of been nice if I knew that.
So after that I head back home play some video games and procrastinate about writing this long as blog that probably has multiple grammatical errors with ginormous run on sentences like this one and sounds like crap in certain places, but whatever. I apologize if you actually read through all of its horribly put together words that are not fluent at all. Have a nice day. =D

My friend Kevin and I were bored in biology one day so I drew evil pac-man. And then Kevin drew stuff. Then I drew stuff. And this is how it turned out.

Epic is it not?
Spelling Fail

Now that I remembered what picture I was gonna put up here. Check out the epic spelling fail.

Look at the word "somting"
I thought people were supposed to know how to spell in high school? I’m pretty sure something has an “e” and a “h” in it.
